Support
Need help?
Wissel is a co-parenting app. It helps parents in a shared household coordinate custody schedules, children’s clothing, styling, and messages with a co-parent.
We’re a small team. Support is by email—no live chat, phone support, or guaranteed response times today. Write us anyway; we’ll do our best to help.
Email us
| What you need | Where to write |
|---|---|
| App problems, sign-in, invites, wardrobe, messages, subscriptions | [email protected] |
| Privacy questions, account deletion, data export, or other requests about your information | [email protected] |
The privacy address may be monitored by the same small team as general support; use the privacy address for information, deletion-help, and export requests so we can triage them correctly.
There is no in-app help desk or ticket system inside Wissel. This Support page is the public help surface (/support/). In the app, some Profile controls (for example Download Your Data) open this page in your device’s browser.
What to include in your email
A short note is enough. These details help us investigate:
- Account email — the address on your Wissel account
- What you were trying to do — for example invite a co-parent, add a wardrobe photo, or send a message
- What happened instead — error text, blank screen, or unexpected result
- Your device — iPhone or Android (and app version if you know it)
- A screenshot — helpful when it’s easy to attach; skip anything you don’t want to share
Plain language is fine. You don’t need a formal letter.
If the app crashed, say so. In some builds, crash details may be sent to our crash reporting tool (Sentry) so we can diagnose failures. There is no in-app setting to turn that on or off.
Quick answers (you may not need to email)
These aren’t bugs—they’re how Wissel works today:
- Sign-in — email and password (or username where offered). Apple Sign In and Google Sign In are not available
- Subscriptions — paid Wissel and Premium plans are available through Apple in-app purchase when offerings load; manage or restore from Profile → Subscription (or Apple’s subscription settings). If a plan shows as unavailable, it is not a working purchase option in that moment
- Notifications — when system permission is on, Wissel can send privacy-safe push alerts for categories you leave enabled (for example messages and schedule updates). Those alerts do not include message text. Reminders control Calendar event alerts on this device. Upcoming Handoff Preview preferences save but do not send device alerts yet
- Account deletion — available inside the app from Profile → Delete Account (after confirmation). Data export is not available inside the app yet; request export by email (see below)
- Removing content — some items (for example a wardrobe item) are often hidden rather than permanently erased; clothing photos may remain until cleanup improves later
- Child date of birth — if shown in the app, stays on your device for now and is not saved to Wissel online today
- Analytics — we do not use product analytics tools to track how you use the app
- Family disagreements — Wissel is a coordination tool; it does not mediate disputes or replace parenting agreements, court orders, or professional advice
More detail is in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Help by topic
Something looks broken
Email [email protected] with the details under What to include in your email.
If you can, include rough steps to recreate the problem and what you expected versus what you saw. A screenshot often helps—only if it’s convenient.
Feature ideas
We’re glad to hear them. Email general support with what you’d like Wissel to do and why it would help your co-parenting.
We can’t promise every idea will be built, or when. We read suggestions and use them to improve the product over time.
Account and profile
Today, Wissel supports email and password sign-in (or username where offered). Apple Sign In and Google Sign In are not available.
You can update profile details such as name and phone number in the app, and you can log out. You can also delete your account from Profile → Delete Account (after confirmation).
Logging out ends your session. It does not delete your account or household information.
If you can’t sign in, forgot your password, or think someone else has access to your account, email [email protected] from the address on your account if you can. Include what you tried and any error you saw.
Password reset and other account recovery details depend on how our hosted sign-in is configured: [AUTH / PASSWORD RECOVERY DETAILS — PLACEHOLDER].
Sign-in problems
Try these first:
- Use the email and password for your Wissel account
- Check for typos and Caps Lock
- Confirm you have a network connection
Still stuck? Email support with your account email and what happens when you try.
Invitations and household
You can invite a co-parent with an email address or phone number, and manage invites (create, accept, decline, or revoke where those options are available).
Invitations expire by default after 7 days if they aren’t accepted (or sooner if you revoke them or they’re accepted).
If you allow contacts access, Wissel can help you pick someone from contacts on your device. We do not upload your full contact list—only the details you choose for the invitation leave your device.
For technical invite or household problems (for example an invite that won’t send or accept), email support with your account email and what you tried.
Support can help with how the app works. We cannot settle disagreements between co-parents about schedules, messages, or other household content.
Wardrobe and photos
You can add clothing details and photos (camera or photo library), and remove items so they’re hidden in the app.
Today, removing a wardrobe item often hides it rather than permanently erasing it. Associated photos may also remain in storage until cleanup improves later.
If a photo won’t upload or display, or an item won’t save, email support with what you tried and whether the problem is upload, display, or editing. A screenshot helps when you have one.
Messages
You can send text messages to your co-parent in a direct conversation. Messages stay between the people in that conversation.
Message text is stored on Wissel’s backend today so delivery works. This is not end-to-end encryption. Support and operators with privileged backend access may be able to read message text when investigating problems. Do not assume administrators cannot read messages.
Message attachments stored online and push alerts for new messages are not available today.
If a message won’t send or appear, email support with both parents’ account emails if relevant, and what you see on each side if you know.
Subscriptions and billing
Wissel offers paid Wissel and Premium plans (monthly or yearly) through Apple’s in-app purchase when store offerings are available.
Open Profile → Subscription to see current plan options, restore purchases, or manage your subscription with Apple. Prices come from the App Store for your account and region. If a plan shows as unavailable, do not treat that row as a working purchase option until it loads.
For billing questions tied to an Apple charge, you can also use Apple’s subscription and purchase support tools. For app-side subscription confusion (for example restore or plan display), email [email protected] with your Wissel account email and what you see.
Account deletion
Signed-in parents can delete their Wissel account from Profile → Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm. Deletion permanently removes your login so you cannot sign in again.
If you shared a household with a co-parent, some shared household information may remain available to them. Your membership and your message content are removed.
If in-app deletion does not work, or you need help after deleting, email [email protected] from the address on your account if you can. Include what you tried and any error you saw.
How we handle manual deletion follow-up: Operations reviews the request, confirms it relates to your account when needed, completes deletion when operator tools allow (consistent with in-app deletion behaviour for sole vs shared households), and replies by email with the outcome. We do not promise a fixed response time. Some clothing photo files may still need later storage cleanup.
Privacy requests
For questions about how Wissel handles information, or requests about your information, email [email protected].
See also our Privacy Policy: /privacy/.
Data export
Wissel does not currently offer a way to download your data from inside the app. Download Your Data in Profile opens this Support page so you can email us — it does not produce an export file by itself.
If you need a copy of your information, email [email protected] from the address on your account if you can. Say what you need (for example profile details or a general copy of your information).
How we handle export requests: Operations reviews the request, confirms it relates to your account when needed, and replies by email with what we can provide from hosted account data we can access. Fulfillment may be partial. There is no automated export package today, and we do not promise a fixed response time.
Abuse or security concerns
If you believe someone’s account has been compromised, or you’ve found a security issue, email [email protected] (or [SECURITY CONTACT EMAIL — PLACEHOLDER] if we publish a separate address later).
If you’re concerned about harmful use of Wissel—including anything involving a child—contact us the same way. We may act on reports when we become aware of them. We do not claim to actively moderate family disagreements or continuously review all household content.
For privacy concerns about a child’s information in a household, use [email protected].
FAQ
Who can see my household information? You and your co-parent may see shared co-parenting information such as children’s names, custody schedules, wardrobe items and clothing photos, outfits, and packed bags. Messages stay between conversation participants under account and access rules — not end-to-end encryption today. Your full profile is not open for your co-parent to browse.
How do I invite my co-parent? Use the invite flow with their email or phone number. Invitations expire by default after 7 days if not accepted.
Do you send push notifications? Not today. Notification preference settings save your choices, but do not deliver alerts to your device yet.
Do I need to pay? A free experience may be available depending on your account. Paid Wissel and Premium plans are offered through Apple in-app purchase when store offerings load. See Profile → Subscription.
How do I delete my account or download my data? Delete your account from Profile → Delete Account (after confirmation). Data export is not available inside the app yet — email [email protected] to request a copy of your information. If in-app deletion fails, use the same privacy address for help.
Does Wissel track me with analytics? No. We do not use product analytics tools for advertising or usage tracking. Some builds may send crash reports only.
Will you settle a disagreement with my co-parent? No. Wissel is a coordination tool. Support helps with technical problems—not family mediation.
